IdeaSpace is a program that aims to help budding technology entrepreneurs develop groundbreaking solutions and transform these into successful commercial products.
We go beyond “angel investing” to startups. We offer a program that combines business incubation and acceleration by providing:
- Access to resource: seed funding and other resources/services needed by any startup;
- Business education: learning via mentorship from business leaders, experience exchange with members from supporting group of companies and fellow technopreneurs; and
- Connection: opportunity to demonstrate or showcase products to potential investors
We have partnerships with top technology vendors and affiliations with globally recognized technology incubators/accelerators to learn and replicate successes.
Our aspiration is to bring positive change in the society, thus, our program for innovation and technopreneurship welcome ideas and solutions that can support social development.
IdeaSpace is being run by IdeaSpace Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization formed by the largest and most diverse group of companies that are leaders in their own industries. Are you smart enough for this? What’s your next big idea?
15 teams. 12 hours. 1 goal.
The camp kicks-off at the Ateneo De Manila Rizal Mini Theater on June 2.
IdeaSpace: #Technopreneur Bootcamp @Ateneo De Manila is the first in a series of events for the promotion of technology entrepreneurship in the academe. Powered by Smart Communications, Inc. in partnership with IdeaSpace Foundation, Inc. (IdeaSpace), it is a whole day event where students, faculty and young alumni from different disciplines listen to industry experts and success stories, share ideas, participate in an app competition, pitch their ideas to a panel of experts and launch beginnings for possible start-up businesses, all in 12 hours!
In the IdeaSpace:#Technopreneur Bootcamps, participants from the sciences and engineering, business, the arts and other backgrounds are encouraged to sign up for the event where they will team up with each other to ideate about technology innovations that have potential for market success.
Speakers from different industries as well as technopreneurs and venture capitalists will be on hand to share their expertise on topics ranging from the latest technologies, tips on how to start technology businesses, funding opportunities and other start-up advocacies.
Guided by mentors, teams will be given time to brainstorm, create a prototype application and pitch their ideas and plans to a group of judges. The best ideas will be recognized and awarded at the end of the session.
The IdeaSpace #Technopreneur Bootcamp series is a vehicle for IdeaSpace and Smart to bring down to the grassroots level the advocacy for successful technopreneurship. More than just technology, collaborative participation and innovation in all fronts are the keys to transforming ideas into reality.
This event is open only to Ateneans – college and post graduate students, faculty members, and recent alumni (graduated on or after March 2010). If you’re from the media or the investor community, please contact the organizers.
